Now for the positives: The room was immaculately clean with a good bed and decent pillows. Add a very noisy air conditioner and Wi-Fi that required not one, but two passwords to access. The previous tenants had left the safe locked, so we had to call the front desk to get someone to come open it for us so we could reprogram it and use it. We were pleased to find a safe and a refrigerator. After a wait, we got keys to our room on the second floor, a nice, large room with a great view of the rooftop. Not a good start at all! Bad first impression for a lovely new hotel. It took 15-20 minutes to check in as two clerks tried to figure out how to do it. The front desk had somehow misplaced our reservation and neither employee seemed to know how to retrieve it, though they had our confirmation number and were looking at their hard copy print out. This was our first stay, and it started out badly.
